Imagine an Emergency Department Waiting Area with creative activities for children that offer a welcome distraction.

The best part is, they don’t need input from staff to run or clean up!

We know your challenges

  • You are struggling to improve your patient experience scores.

  • Your waiting room is bursting at its seams with bored, upset children and stressed parents.

  • Staff are up to their eyes in clinical workload and don't have time to organise activities for young patients and their siblings?

The Arty Fox designs fun, hands-on creative activities for children and families while they are waiting for treatment. These activities encourage communication between parent and child and bring a sense of calm to the environment.

  • Show you care about family-centred care

  • Reduce stress on parents, patients and staff

  • Be compliant with all infection control standards

Our activities have been tried and tested in Children’s
Hospitals and General Hospitals throughout Ireland.

We want to offer an alternative to screens and encourage parents and children to communicate and play together, even during challenging times.

Children can grab an activity themselves from our stand, make something memorable and take it home; leaving no mess and with no input from staff.

Here’s a peek at some of our projects we have completed to date.

They include wonderful activities including origami,
mazes, jokes, rhyming starters, interviews and more!

All activities are self-contained, with no need for crayons, etc.

  • You can choose to adopt these activities on a 3 month, 6 month or yearly term.

We work with you to ensure our designs fit the needs of your facility. We can tailor designs to your specification.

All prices include a slim stand which complies with infection control which will fit neatly in a corner.

Why work with us?

Hi, I'm Feena from The Arty Fox. I'm a primary school teacher and Mum of 4 amazing kids. I love all things art and am passionate about children's creativity. When I began the business back in 2020, I created craft boxes for children that encouraged them to explore materials and create art they could be proud of.

Since then , I have collaborated with Children's Health Ireland on 3 projects that have been both challenging and fulfilling. We have created activities for Emergency Departments that change the experiences for young patients and their families.

Staff in these hospitals love the activities. They keep children entertained and distracted from their surroundings, and don't require set up or clean up during a busy shift.

We want to work with all hospitals in Ireland to ensure that all children get the same creative opportunities while in a challenging situation.

Let's improve patient experience!
